GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Green Bay Packers play the Las Vegas Raiders for the first time in Las Vegas Monday night.
It is the 31st straight season the Packers are appearing on Monday Night Football. That’s the longest streak in the history of the prime time game.
Here are three things to watch in that game.
Hello, old friend
Assuming his shoulder injury doesn’t prevent him from playing, the Packers will be facing Davante Adams for the first time with the Raiders. Adams holds Green Bay franchise records for catches in a season and receiving yards in a season. This year, through four games for the 1-3 Raiders, Adams has 33 catches for 397 yards and three touchdowns.
Breakout game for Jacobs?
Raiders running back Josh Jacobs led the NFL in rushing last season, but a training camp holdout has led to a slow start. He has only 166 rushing yards in four games. Considering the problems the Packers have had defending the run (ranked 30th in the NFL), don’t be surprised if the Raiders heavily feature Jacobs.
All in the family
Both teams will have kickers from the Carlson family. The Raiders have Daniel Carlson.
His younger brother, Anders, kicks for the Packers. It brings to mind past NFL kicking matchups, including the Bahr and Gogolak brothers.
The Packers have won the last eight meetings against the Raiders. Green Bay is 4-0 under Matt LaFleur in games before the bye.
