MILWAUKEE — From a day at the beach to a trip to the ballpark, summer is a time when Milwaukee really comes alive. With outdoor activities aplenty during the warmer months, it is a great time to encourage more people to explore the Brew City.

What You Need To Know

  • Summer is a busy time for Milwaukee tourism

  • Visit Milwaukee is working to get more people to discover the area

  • Summerfest, other events bring people to town

Claire Koenig from Visit Milwaukee said that summer is a great time to get people who live in the Milwaukee area to explore new things about the city. Visit Milwaukee, she said, is pushing for more people to discover the area, whether they live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin or beyond.

"It is always a good time to be a tourist in your own hometown. To check out something that has always been on your bucket list and you have never been there. Summer is a time when you need to squeeze every last drop out of our outdoor events," said Koenig.

Koenig also said the summer is a great time for new visitors to explore the city, including people from other parts of Wisconsin. Koenig said Visit Milwaukee's trip planning website and interactive events page can be a great resource. Visit its website here.
