Ryan Burk joined the Spectrum News team in 2018. For Ryan, telling impactful stories about Wisconsin every day is the best part of the job.
Ryan is a proud graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee (Go Golden Eagles!) where he graduated with a degree in Broadcast and Electronic Communications. Ryan began his career behind the scenes as an associate producer at the ABC station in Milwaukee. He then headed north to make the jump on-air as a reporter at the CBS station in Wausau. Ryan also spent time in the Land of Lincoln as a feature reporter at the CBS station in Champaign-Urbana, IL.
From mail boat jumping in Lake Geneva to sturgeon spearing in Fond du Lac to election nights in Madison, Ryan has crisscrossed the state covering every topic under the sun. However, most of his day-to-day reporting focuses on business, the economy, and transportation.
When not out reporting, you’ll probably find Ryan and his wife out on a boat, exploring Wisconsin State Parks, or taking in a Friday night fish fry (recommendations always welcome). While Ryan regularly travels the state for work, The Burks are proud to call suburban Milwaukee home.
