GLENDALE, Wis. — Officials confirmed Saturday that there were no injuries following a parking structure collapse at Bayshore Town Center.
North Shore Fire and Rescue officials said they were “able to definitively confirm” there were no injuries after they removed the debris field.
The partial collapse occurred Thursday afternoon and crushed two cars. Officials previously confirmed they spoke to both drivers of the crushed cars, who confirmed no one was inside.
North Shore Fire Department fire chief Robert Whitaker said the cause of the collapse has yet to be determined, but the snow could have been a factor.
Officials originally said that cars in the parking structure could remain there for more than a month, but recently confirmed the removal process may begin as early as this Tuesday.
North Shore Fire and Rescue said the fire and police departments are now turning the scene over to Bayshore Operations and Management. They are working to open additional parking in a limited area.
Affected vehicle owners who have not yet reached out to Bayshore security are urged to do so, as it will help develop a list of contacts to share further information as vehicle removal plans are finalized.
