GREEN BAY, Wis.— The Green Bay Packers released their 2022 season schedule Thursday night. I like the fact that the Green Bay Packers start the season facing three teams with new head coaches. There’s usually an adjustment period.

I don’t feel great about not having a bye after the London game. That’s a long flight to expect bodies to bounce back quickly.

Three straight road games in late October and early November (Washington, Buffalo and Detroit) are always a challenge.

Sunday night road games at Buffalo and Philadelphia will be difficult.

After an emotional game against Mike McCarthy and the Cowboys on Nov. 13, the Packers have a quick turnaround for a home game against Tennessee on Thursday night.  At least the Titans are the team traveling.

Playing on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day doesn’t seem as bad when they fall on Sundays. Christmas in Miami will be quite a change from Green Bay.

I’ll let you in on a little secret: None of us can really know how this is going to shake out. Injuries, overachieving and underachieving teams. Reality will be different.

That being said, it’s fun in May to think about how the season plays out.
