GREEN BAY, Wis. – It's finally official. The Green Bay Packers will play the New York Giants in London on Oct. 9 this upcoming season.
The announcement was made on the NFL Network Wednesday morning when the NFL released their schedule of international games.
Green Bay is the only NFL team yet to play abroad. The Packers are scheduled to play at 8:30 a.m. CST at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in what will be their first regular-season game in the NFL International Series, which began in 2007.
The London game is considered a "home" game for the Packers, however they will still play eight games at Lambeau Field and eight games on the road. Besides division teams, the Packers could have only played the Cowboys, Rams, Patriots, Giants, Jets or Titans.
The Packers will have a limited number of tickets available for Packers Season Ticket Holders to purchase through a drawing, as the game is a neutral-site international contest.
This week, the Packers ticket office will send a survey to Packers Season Ticket Holders who are opted in to receive promotional emails, inviting them to enter into the drawing for the opportunity to purchase tickets. Season Ticket Holders who did not receive the survey via email are reminded that they must be opted in to receive promotional emails in order to receive such communications.
The prices and seat locations of the tickets have not yet been determined. The full 2022 Packers schedule will be announced in conjunction with the NFL schedule release on May 12.
More details about the game in London, including fan engagement activities, will be announced at a later date.
