MILWAUKEE — A group of more than 40 nonprofits across the Milwaukee area want you to consider making your Giving Tuesday donation a week early — on November 23. 

Unity in Motion is one of the charities participating in Milwaukee's Giving First initiative. 

Tom Cramer, of Unity in Motion, said the different organizations decided to encourage people to support their favorite nonprofit group, or cause, before the Thanksgiving holiday rolls around and they might spend money on things like Black Friday shopping. 

Cramer added that the various charities involved in the Giving First campaign pride themselves on being resources for help and community-building across the Milwaukee area.

For those who would like to donate to Unity in Motion, Cramer said the organization promotes friendship, inclusiveness and bridge-building among children from different backgrounds.
