Pete Zervakis is an anchor and reporter at Spectrum News 1 Wisconsin. He hosts the political show In Focus, where he conducts weekly interviews with lawmakers and other newsmakers. He also co-anchors Spectrum News 1’s weekday morning show.

Pete is a seasoned, award-winning Wisconsin journalist, having worked for various local news stations in Milwaukee, Madison, and La Crosse before settling in with Spectrum News in 2021. He is deeply committed to his responsibility to accurately inform people around the state, especially at a time when there's so much misinformation floating around on the internet.

Pete’s stories have been recognized by the Wisconsin State Bar Association, the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association, and the Milwaukee Press Club. He’s also been nominated for an Emmy Award. Pete credits much of his success to the inspiring Wisconsinites he's met throughout his career. During COVID-19, he witnessed great moments of camaraderie and resilience among Milwaukee residents, reaffirming his sense of belonging to his community and to the Badger State at large.

Outside of work, Pete is actively involved with his community, particularly the Greek-American community with whom he attends church at Annunciation Greek-Orthodox Church in Milwaukee and at Kimissis tis Theotokou Greek-Orthodox Church in Racine. During his free time, Pete loves spending time in Delafield, browsing local shops and kayaking on Nagawicka Lake. He also loves a good hike at the Lapham Peak Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest. On rainy or winter days, you'll likely find Pete and his wife holed up at Tenuta's Italian Restaurant in Bay View – probably eating calzones.
