WISCONSIN— With Halloween just around the corner, many kids and parents are asking: Is it safe to trick-or-treat this year?

According to the director of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Rochelle Walensky, Halloween is getting a green light this year, with a few safety suggestions still in place.

"I wouldn't necessarily go to a crowded Halloween party, but I think that we should be able to let our kids go trick or treating in small groups," Walensky said during an interview with CBS

Walensky also said she encourages people to trick-or-treat outdoors and limit crowds.

Here, we break down how to get in on the fun, all while staying safe.
