WALWORTH COUNTY, Wis.— While not everyone may be enjoying the cold temperatures this week, staff with the Ice Castles in Lake Geneva say, “Bring it on!”
Crews are busy taking advantage of the cold weather to put the finishing touches on their designs.
Weather permitting, the Ice Castles are set to open for the season on Friday, Jan. 22 at 6 p.m.
Visitors will have to pre-register for a time to visit to ensure social distancing and limit crowd size.
“What that means is you need to get your tickets well ahead of time, standby is going to be hard to come by. We are really going to monitor the number of people in the castle at any one time," says Ice Castles event manager Wally Bullard.
Staff with Ice Castles says that the maze and tunnels of the castle will be one-way. Masks will also be required throughout the experience, from the check-in counter as well as inside the castles themselves.
