LAKE GENEVA, Wis. — Seventy-five artists from around the world will come together at Lake Geneva this spring to create an installation that’ll feature more than 50,000 balloons.

The Big Balloon Build will feature an installation that will take over the Jackson Family Activity Center at Covenant Harbor, which, when finished, will be open to the public for a fundraiser. Proceeds will go toward Inspiration Ministries, which helps people with disabilities.

The event runs from March 23-26, 2023 and is put on by Wisconsin Balloon Décor. It’s the third time the Big Balloon Build is taking place in the U.S.

“Thousands of people came to view the balloons, and we helped raise $120,000 for charity, all because of balloons,” said Sara Meyer, owner of Wisconsin Balloon Décor, referring the first Big Balloon Build in Vincennes, Ind. “It was the largest installation I’ve ever been part of, which was incredible. But when I saw the impact the event was having on the community, I knew I wanted to bring it home.”

This year’s theme is inspired by the events sponsor Kunes RV: “Inspired by the Great Outdoors.” Tickets are on sale now.
