We have not yet seen the highest temperatures and humidity of this heat wave. It will peak on Saturday before we get a  break on Sunday.

We will see a lot more sunshine on Saturday so air temperatures and humidity will be higher. Our heat index values will be 103°-110° Saturday afternoon. A cold front will bring in some storms Sunday afternoon and a few could be strong to severe. Behind these storms, cooler and drier air will move in for next week.

Temperatures will actually be running below average next week which will be a far cry from our weekend heat wave!
