After several incredibly cold days and nights, temperatures will start to thaw out a bit. With increasing clouds, S winds and a warm front lifting N, we'll see lows tonight only dip into the low 30s across much of the state. Good thing too-- because up to an inch of rain is expected Wednesday. If temperatures were cold enough for snow, that could easily top a foot for many cities and towns.
Rain will move in late Tuesday into early Wednesday. With highs in the 40s statewide, this will be an all-rain event, up until very late Wednesday. With colder air wrapping around the low, we'll see a very brief changeover to snow as the system departs-- mainly for areas East of Columbus. Keep in mind, with snow melt and heavy rain at times, flooding may be an issue.
Another Arctic blast is expected for the end of the week, with temperatures in the teens and 20s. We'll see a few snow flurries and light snow showers for the weekend. (Cleveland and areas along the lake will likely see lake effect snow most of the weekend into early next week)
Statewide, snow showers will return Monday and Tuesday with light accumulations.
