CINCINNATI — With the Bengals making a magical run to the AFC championship game, fans are enjoying every moment, including one group of musicians who are making the most of every week.

What You Need To Know

  • The Bengal Boys are a parody music group that makes songs and videos based on the Bengals and its players

  • Alex Dolezal said this year has been tremendous fun

  • The Bengal boys make a new song and video each week of the season

  • The group is hopeful for a Bengals trip to the Super Bowl

There are a lot of passionate Bengals fans who bleed the orange and black, but few are as creative as the Bengal Boys.

“The Bengal Boys has been the best way for us to express our fandom from 300 miles away,” singer, musician and editor Alex Dolezal said.

Dylan Bodley, Colin Cooper and Parker Phillips complete the super team of talent that aims to make parody videos based on the Bengals, all sparked by the boredom caused by the pandemic.

“We were just looking for something fun to do,” Dolezal said. “We could have never predicted that and the like this but we're still doing it. We thought, let's just do it because we're bored.”

The comedy quartet lives in Nashville but is originally from east Cincinnati. They’ve been big Bengals fans for a long time and put their heads together to make others laugh and smile.

So each week they come up with a new parody, celebrating a different Bengal with a new take on classic songs.

It's something they hope to keep doing all the way through the Super Bowl.

“If it means we're staying up until one in the morning figuring out this next video idea, while we have a slew of other things going on, so be it,” Dolezal said. "If the Bengals are in the Super Bowl, well, we're willing to make sacrifices for that.”
