CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Hopkins International Airport served 10,173,861 passengers last year, a 3% increase compared to 2023.
This was the first year since the pandemic that the airport had hit 10 million travelers, according to an airport press release.
Despite this increase in passengers, they fell just short of their forecasted count of 10,250,000. This was, in part, due to multiple hurricanes and an IT outage that disrupted flights.
“Although we fell a bit short of our initial forecast, 2024 was a busy year and we fared very well overall,” said Bryant Francis, director of Port Control, in the release. “Our business development efforts to increase flights and seats will continue in 2025, with several unserved routes being of primary focus.”
The busiest month for the airport was June, when they saw close to 10% of their total passengers, at 987,508.
The airport’s passenger forecast for 2025 continues to increase. They are expecting to serve 10,400,000 travelers this year.
