CLEVELAND — A fire broke out within the construction perimeter at the site of the former Rainforest at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo Wednesday afternoon.

The Cleveland Fire Departent and Cleveland Metroparks Police responded to the scene.

According to the zoo, most animals have been relocated during construction and no staff or animals were injured in the fire.

The Cleveland Fire Department is determining the cause of the fire.
