Abby Durbin is one of the Tennessee fans who travelled to Columbus for the big game.

“I”m ready to paint the Shoe orange,” Durbin said.

Durbin is a Tennessee alum and a lifelong Volunteers fan.

“It’s definitely going to be the best matchup of round one," Durbin said. "I’m a lifelong Vols fan, graduated in 2021, so been waiting a long time for a playoff game and the potential to win a national championship,”

She said Tennessee fans are a “dedicated bunch”.

“I think we’re going to have big turnout, and I’m very excited to see all the Vols fans travel up to Ohio,” Durbin said.

Carson Jinks is also a Tennessee alum, but she’s a Columbus native.

“I never thought that I’d see the day where Tennessee and Ohio State would play each other,” Jinks said.

Jinks grew up cheering for the Scarlet and Grey but now proudly wears her Tennessee Orange. It’ll be her first time going to a game in the Shoe.

“It’s like the best opportunity,” Jinks said.

Durbin and her family are making the trip to Columbus for the big game.

“My brother graduated two years before me, and my little brother has plans to attend Tennessee in just a few short years…lifelong Vols fans and so just being there together as a family will be special and definitely be something to remember,” Durbin said.

Jinks will be wearing her Tennessee gear Saturday night but said that she wants the fans who come to Columbus for the game to see how great the city is.

“Columbus is so different from Knoxville, and I feel like I’m always telling people that I met at UT about how great of a city Columbus is, so I’m really excited for them to get to see that,” Jinks said.
