CLEVELAND — After another successful season that pushed the team into the playoffs, the Cleveland Guardians are spicing things up even more by announcing changes to their uniforms for next year.
Changes were made to four uniforms, with the biggest differences happening to the blue alternative road uniform.
While it'll still have a navy base, it'll no longer have "Cleveland" across the chest. Instead, it will feature the Guardians "Diamond C" logo, giving a nod to the uniforms from 1901 to 1945, including the 1920 World Series team jersey.
Additionally, it'll have red-white-red piping.
This uniform will also have a new look. It'll have the club's Bridge Print font with "Guardians" across the chest instead of the script "Guardians" used this past season.
This jersey will have a slight change: instead of the "Guardians" being slanted across the chest, it'll be horizontal for next season. There will also be new red-blue-red piping on the neckline and arms.
There will also be a new hat for home games just for this uniform. The hat will be red with a blue bill, and all the hats will continue to have the "Diamond C" on it.
This one will stay the same, but will feature the red-blue-red color schemed like the white home uniform will.
