The Cleveland Guardians have added another postseason appearance to their record, and they want the fans to join them in celebrating.

The Guardians announced events planned for the American League Division Series at Progressive Field from Oct. 5 to Oct. 7, as well as Oct. 12 if there is a Game 5.

Among the festivities includes pre-gaming, in which Gateway Plaza will include local bands, photo opportunities, giveaways and more. Additionally, DJ Kyro will perform in the Right Field District before gates open. The Guardians are asking fans to "rock your red" for the postseason as a way to show support for the team.

Events planned for Game 1 on Oct. 5

  • Ceremonial First Pitch: Travis Fryman
  • Color Guard: Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Army, Marines and Space Force
  • National Anthem: DeAngelo Graham
  • Flyover: 910th Airlift Wing — Based at the Youngstown Air Reserve Station and flying the C130 Hercules
  • God Bless America: Jon Ridinger
  • Mid-first inning: Stand For The Land Banner
  • Cleveland’s Nerdiest DJ will ramp up the excitement from the Home Run Bridge

Events planned for Game 2 on Oct. 7

As for Game 5, the national anthem will be sung by Brianne Bryant. Other details will be released if necessary.

So far, tickets to Game 1 and 2 are sold out, but there's still some available for the potential Game 5.

The Guardians will take on the Detroit Tigers. The Guardians last made it to the postseason in 2022, but were defeated by the New York Yankees. The team has only two World Series championships under their belt, winning in 1920 and 1948.
