DAYTON, Ohio — Kettering Health plans to build a $44 million medical center for the communities of Xenia and Greene County.

The center will have a full-service emergency room and services like MRI, CT and x-ray. There will also be a breast evaluation center to provide access to screenings.

Kettering Health said the Xenia center will adress the local shortage of primary care and outpatient specialists by adding care teams that focus on preventative and disease-specific care.

It'll be located on the REACH site on Progress Drive across from the YMCA.

“We are honored by the trust and support that the residents of our Xenia community have placed in Kettering Health,” said Kettering Health CEO Mike Gentry in a release. “As the healthcare landscape continues to change, the focus we place on our patients and meeting community health needs is the strongest way we can express our deep gratitude.”

The center is expected to be complete within 24 months. Kettering Health said the Greene Memorial campus will continue to provide care during this time.
