CINCINNATI — Cincinnati Children's Healthvine has partnered with Humana Healthy Horizons to help Medicaid-enrolled children across eight southwest Ohio counties.

The counties include: Hamilton, Adams, Brown, Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Highland and Warren counties.

With this new agreement, HealthVine, a pediatric accountable care organization which works with community and hospital-based providers to help coordinate services for children and their families, has added about 10,000 children to the 117,000 it serves through other Medicaid plans. In total, HealthVine serves more than 127,000 children.

“We are thrilled to partner with Cincinnati Children’s, as access to care is critical to achieving a more equitable health care ecosystem,” said Kathie Mancini, president, Humana Healthy Horizons in Ohio, in a news release. “Through this new relationship, Humana Healthy Horizons can reach more members in Southwest Ohio and ensure the area’s children receive the best care possible.”

Cincinnati Children's will collaborate with Humana Healthy Horizons and the surrounding community to ensure vulnerable children receive the proper care in the proper setting including partnering with Federally Qualified Health Centers, health department clinics and community pediatricians.

Humana Healthy Horizons in Ohio’s expertise in managing Medicaid care plans will help us meet the healthcare needs of children and families.”
