CLEVELAND — If you're flying out of Cleveland and planning to leave your car at the airport, expect to pay a little extra for parking next year.
A press release from the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport states that the rates will increase the first day of the new year, with the Smart Parking Garage as well as the red, blue and orange lots all increasing by $1 while the brown lot will increase by $2.
The release shows the new rates as follows:
- Smart Parking Garage: $23/day, first 30 minutes free, $7/hour up to 3 hours (after the 3rd hour, the daily rate applies)
- Red Lot: $21/day
- Blue Lot: $21/day
- Orange Lot: $18/day
- Brown Lot: $16/day
The release also notes that this price change only affects those who park after the rate change, meaning those who parked before Jan. 1 will still pay the old rate when they pick up their vehicle. The release also issues a reminder that the secondary cell phone lot, just off Hotel Road, is closing on Jan. 2.
