CLEVELAND — A new play space at Huntington Reservation will open this September, Cleveland Metroparks said in a press release.
Crews began construction on the nearly one-acre Karen's Way Play Space this week. It will include a willow tunnel, slide, a playhouse and a small stage. Additionally, there will be two separate swing sets for different ages, a kid-friendly zipline and a water play feature.
The Metroparks said the swing sets and zipline will have inclusive seating for those with disabilities. The play space will connect to the Noshery concessions building and Sunset Picnic Plaza by a paved path.
The play space is funded by Karen's Way Inc. and was designed by Cleveland Metroparks Planning & Design team. It is also being constructed by the Metroparks' construction team.
Throughout the duration of the construction, Huntington Reservation will remain open, the Metroparks said.
