COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Franklin County Sheriff's Office recently welcomed two new corrections K9 officers who are trained to search for drugs and electronic devices.

Carmen and Biscuit, the newest members of Franklin County's Corrections Division, were introduced to the public on social media and showed off their amazing noses for "contraband" via video.

"It’s part of the FCSO’S ongoing effort to protect the health and safety of both inmates and Corrections staff," Franklin County Sheriff's officials said on Facebook and Twitter.

Deputy Jeff Barrett is Biscuit's partner and Deputy James Wilson is Carmen's partner.

"The canines will have no contact with inmates, but we are confident they will serve as a deterrent," officials said on Facebook.
