“Things haven’t gone in 2021 exactly the way we all wanted to, in our lives, but now we have Re-Opening Day,” commented Jill Meyer, President and CEO of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber. “Not only is (Re-Opening Day) the quintessential American way, but it is the quintessential Cincinnati way to say we are back, we will not be stalled, and we will keep moving forward.

Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley and Hamilton County Commission President Stephanie Summerow Dumas proclaimed via ceremonial resolution that June 2 is a “half-day holiday” in Cincinnati and Hamilton County.

Both encouraged those who are able to attend the game, enjoy the DORA District at The Banks before and after the game, and support downtown businesses.

They also encouraged all Reds fans to wear the team’s color on that day well.
