1. Ohio's tornado count is one of the nation's highest

As of April 19, Ohio has recorded 35 tornado touchdowns since the beginning of the year, according to data released Friday from the National Weather Service. Severe weather season got off to a quick start with the first nine tornadoes recorded on Feb. 28.
