Montgomery County Commissioner Debbie Lieberman was inspired to run for office because she had a longstanding passion for public service. Her favorite part of her job is helping her constituents and making sure their voices are heard.
The biggest lesson Lieberman has learned during her time in office is the importance of working together as a community. She would say her biggest accomplishment so far is reducing the recidivism rate to 5% after launching the Montgomery County Office of Reentry, which supports community members as they navigate life after prison.
In three words, Lieberman would describe her county as "beautiful, progressive, and friendly." One of her hobbies is beekeeping.
