WORCESTER, Mass — Worcester's DCU Center will keep its current name for at least another three years.
ASM Global, Digital Federal Credit Union and the city of Worcester announced a naming rights extension for the arena and convention center that will last through the end of June 2027.
DCU became the facility's naming rights partner in March 2005.
A second 10-year agreement was set to expire this year.
This new one includes the option for DCU to extend the agreement for an additional seven years.
City Manager Eric Batista said the facility is a critical piece of Worcester’s downtown. It is home to large events, including concerts, hockey games and graduations.
