BOSTON - Fresh off a run to the NBA Finals last year, the Boston Celtics could now be without head coach Ime Udoka for the upcoming season.
According to multiple reports, Udoka is facing a year-long suspension from the team following a violation of organizational guidelines. That violation is his role in a consensual relationship with a female staff member, according to ESPN.
An official announcement could be made as early as today.
Udoka was hired as head coach before the 2021-22 season, and led the Celtics to a 51-31 regular season record and an Eastern Conference championship.
