MASS. - Thousands of power outages are being reported across Massachusetts as residents are hunkered down during a major snowstorm.

As of 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency reports there are still over 61, 000 people are without power. The vast majority of the power outages are still being reported on the South Shore and Cape Cod where the storm is hitting the hardest.

A Wind Chill Advisory will remain in effect until 10 a.m. on Sunday for central Massachusetts as the area is expected to continue to see strong wind gusts up to 40 mph and wind chill temperatures as low as 20 below zero. 

As we reported on Friday, National Grid had over 2,700 crews working this weekend in Massachusetts.
