A Worcester butcher shop is celebrating 75 years in business. Manny Sigel, an immigrant from Eastern Europe, opened Fairway Beef opened in 1946, and the company is still owned by the Sigel family as brothers George and Jack run the day to day operations.

Tuesday, Worcester resident Bill Coleman surprised George with a life size cardboard image of his likeness. It features George's signature white coat and straw hat. He says he's happy to serve all the different people of Worcester throughout the years.

"It’s wonderful to see people of all religions, creeds, colors. The melting pot of Worcester is Fairway Beef and I’m so proud to be a part of it" says Sigel.

Fairway Beef is considered an essential business and has remained open throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
