I’m sure you have noticed the earlier sunsets over the past few weeks. It’s that time of year when the sun fades quicker and quicker.

What You Need To Know

  • We are losing just over two minutes of daylight each day

  • We lose nearly 20 minutes of daylight this week

  • Daylight saving time ends in early November

It is hard to believe it is almost October. The nights are quickly becoming longer and the days are getting shorter each and every day as the winter solstice creeps upon us in December.

Not to get you in a poor mood, but check out the sunset times in Louisville and Bowling Green over the next couple of months.

Bowling Green’s sunset is before 4:30 p.m. by Dec. 1.

Just this week alone, we lost almost 20 minutes of daylight.

Don’t forget either, the sun will set even sooner by the time we get to Nov. 6. That is when we “fall back” or turn the clocks back one hour as daylight saving time ends.
