October is approaching soon, and temperatures will be a bit warmer.

What You Need To Know

  • Temperatures will be above average

  • Highs will hit the 70s for October

  • Average highs range in the 60s

We are a few days away from October, and recent analysis data directs forecasts to predict above average temperatures across the Ohio Valley for the upcoming month.

Highs for Kentucky are typically in the 60s, but thanks to some extra ridges forecasted in the long term to arrive across the eastern U.S., temperatures will be slightly above average.

Expect highs to range more into the 70s for the new month, which is not a drastic difference, but it will still feel warmer than what we are used to for a few days into October.

This will be from the result of extra high pressure systems advancing across the Ohio Valley, leading to some extra sunnier days, which will allow for increasing temperatures for the afternoon hours.
