The National Weather Service was out finishing up surveying tornado damage through this past weekend, bringing the total of confirmed tornadoes to 14.

A potent cold front moved across the state on April 13, triggering multiple Tornado Warnings. Most of the warnings were confined to the western and central half of the state.

NWS Paducah now confirms six tornadoes in western Kentucky. They recently added a sixth tornado in Hopkins County, southeast of Dawson Springs. It was a brief touchdown with peak winds near 85 mph and a path length of 0.6 miles.

In total, there were four EF-0 tornadoes and two EF-1 tornadoes in western Kentucky.

NWS Louisville also finished up surveys over this past weekend. In total, they confirmed eight tornadoes in central Kentucky. The strongest tornado was in southeastern Jefferson County with peak winds up to 97 mph. They found five EF-0 tornadoes and three EF-1 tornadoes.
