Kristin Walls is a morning meteorologist with Spectrum News 1.

Kristin grew up in the small town of McDonald, Ohio and received a degree in Geography and Climatology from Kent State University. She went on to earn a Masters of Atmospheric Science from the Ohio State University. While studying at Ohio State, Kristin had the opportunity to research glacier changes in Peru.

From 2011-2016, Kristin worked as a meteorologist in Louisville and fell in love with the people and the food. During that time, Kristin also got to cover several impactful stories, such as in March 2012 when she was on air for eight straight hours covering multiple tornadoes that impacted the communities of Kentucky and Indiana. Covering the storms was an extremely meaningful time to serve and connect with her community.

Kristin then went on to work as the chief meteorologist and morning co-host at KVEW/KAPP in Kennewick, Washington before moving back to Kentucky and joining the Spectrum News 1 team in 2021.

In her free time she loves to run, do CrossFit, meet new people, and spend time with her husband and their two fur babies.
