The first round of rain and storms is gone by early afternoon at the latest, but another batch develops later today.
Thunderstorms brought strong wind gusts to parts of southwestern Kentucky during the overnight hours. However, the biggest issue in the southern part of the Commonwealth has been heavy rain. Flash flooding will gradually improve this afternoon as high water recedes. Until then, if you come across floodwater, do not drive into it. Turn around, don't drown.
Another round of storms develops later today and goes into tonight. Once again, the main severe weather risk is for strong wind gusts. Heavy rain will also be possible. Check your latest forecast here.
