LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kentucky Derby 150 may be in the books, but another premier sporting event is right around the corner for the commonwealth: the PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, May 13-19.
If you're planning to attend the weeklong tournament, below are some things to know.
Parking/Transportation
The PGA said public parking is complimentary and located at the Kentucky Exposition Center (937 Phillips Lane, Louisville, Kentucky, 40209). Attendees should enter through the Main Gate, Gate 6 or Gate 7, and the PGA is encouraging carpooling. The public parking lot will be open May 13-19, and there will be no public parking, drop-offs or walk-ins at or around Valhalla Golf Club during Championship Week.
Fans using rideshare services such as Lyft or UBER will need to be picked up and dropped off at the PGA Championship's official rideshare lot located near Valhalla. Spectators using rideshare should enter "2024 PGA Championship" as their destination, and their driver will take them to the designated rideshare lot. They will enter and exit the championship grounds through the Main Spectator Entrance, just a short walk from the rideshare lot.
Organizers cautioned they cannot guarantee drivers, and there may be extended wait times during peak departure hours. There will be no public parking, drop-offs or walk-ins in and around Valhalla.
“We strongly encourage spectators to anticipate and plan accordingly for extra travel time as they prepare to watch the world’s best golfers compete for the Wanamaker Trophy at Valhalla,” said Ryan Ogle, championship director.
