LEXINGTON, Ky. - UK Sports Network is revamping its program and Wildcat fans will soon get to enjoy Big Blue Nation TV (BBN TV) and Big Blue Nation Radio (BBN Radio).
BBN TV is a weekly 30-minute tv show focusing on access and analysis of various Kentucky sports. The show will be hosted by sportscaster Lee K. Howard and UK Sports Network radio host Christi Thomas. The pair will be joined each week by coaches and athletes. This show replaces previous UK Sports Network programming consisting of the The Mark Stoops Show, This is Kentucky Basketball, Matthew Mitchell Show and the Nick Mingione Show.
Fans will be able to get BBN TV digitally Friday nights and through UK SPorts Network television affiliates on Saturday. A full list of UK Sports Network television affiliates will be released next week along with airtimes.
The show will premiere on UKathletics.com, YouTube, and the Kentucky Wildcats Facebook page August 30. The first episode features Athletics Director Mitch Barnhart and a conversation with UK football head coach Mark Stoops.
Along with BBN TV, UK Sports Network is launching BBN Radio, a weekly look at UK Athletics that will be hosted by voice of UK Baseball, Darren Headrick.
BBN Radio replaces Big Blue weekly at 7-8 p.m. on Monday nights. BBN Radio debuts August 26 after the UK Healthcare Mark Stoops Show. Barnhart is the first guest. It will be available on all UK Sports Network radio affiliates.
