LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Gov. Tim Walz will travel to Kentucky on Wednesday, Oct. 23 to stump for the Harris-Walz presidential ticket.

The Minnesota governor will visit Louisville, making remarks at the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport Wednesday afternoon before speaking at a campaign reception.

The stop is part of a three-state trip as Walz visits the key battleground states of North Carolina and Pennsylvania to round out the week. Walz will travel from Louisville to North Carolina for stops in Durham, Greenville and Wilmington and then head to Philadelphia for campaign events on Friday.

It’s not the first time Kentucky landed in the spotlight as part of the 2024 presidential race. Gov. Andy Beshear, D-Ky., made national news for making the short list for Harris’ vice presidential pick. He spoke at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago and has been a surrogate for the Harris-Walz campaign. 

Kentuckian Hadley Duvall of Owensboro has also been a part of the Democratic presidential campaign after sharing her story at the DNC about surviving rape by her stepfather as a child. She has appeared in a campaign ad for Vice President Kamala Harris and joine Harris' "Fighting for Reproductive Freedom" bus tour.
