LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The University of Louisville will host two NCAA Championship events between 2026 and 2027.

Home of UofL basketball for the last 14 seasons, the KFC Yum! Center in downtown Louisville will host the first and second rounds of the 2027 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. Trager Stadium on UofL's campus will host the 2026 NCAA Women's Field Hockey National Championship.

The 22,000-seat KFC Yum! Center hosted the NCAA Men's Basketball second and third rounds in 2012 and 2015, the NCAA South Regional in 2016 and 2023 and was the site of the 2012 NCAA Women's Volleyball National Championship, which it will once again host this year. The arena features 71 luxury suites, 62 four- or six-seat premium boxes, more than 2,000 side-court club seats and four party suites with a seating capacity of 32 each. It also hosts dozens of concerts, family shows and other events yearly.

Trager Stadium, home of UofL field hockey since opening in 2000, has hosted the NCAA Division I Field Hockey National Championship six times: 2002, 2005, 2008, 2011, 2016 and 2018. The Cardinals' home field also hosted the NCAA Division II Championship in 2010. It has a seating capacity of 2,500 and is one of the few NCAA Division I venues dedicated solely to field hockey.
