LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The University of Louisville said on X, formerly known as Twitter, classes are canceled and offices are closed Friday, Sept. 27, ahead of inclement weather.

Remnants of Hurricane Helene are expected to hit Kentucky Friday, including heavy rainfall and the potential for wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph.

Several Louisville schools rescheduled their Friday night football games to Thursday, Sept. 26. Mayor Craig Greenberg, D-Louisville, urged residents to take caution.
