LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A third-straight victory was so close for the University of Louisville’s women’s soccer team in their Thursday match against New Hampshire. A late score by the Wildcats leveled the score 1-1, and the match ended in a draw at Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium.

Freshman Lauryn Contini put the Cards on the board in the first half. She beat a pair of New Hampshire defenders and flicked it in for the goal. It was Contini’s first career goal at UofL.

Going in to halftime, the Cards held a 9-0 shot advantage. It was the third-straight game this season, UofL did not allow a shot on goal in the first half.

Coach Karen Ferguson-Dayes’ squad held that lead until the 86th minute, when Wildcat Delaney Lappin put one in the net to tie the score.

UofL makes its first road trip of the season when they travel to take on the Northern Kentucky Norse on Sunday, Aug. 25 at 5 p.m. the game will game streamed on ESPN+.

Coach Ferguson-Dayes is in her 25th season and had her contract extended through 2026.
