LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The kernels will be popping at the Kentucky State Fair, and attendees will get to snack in style.
Guests will be able to purchase a reusable popcorn bucket paying homage to the agricultural community and its importance to the fair. The bucket is designed as a cow and is complete with a collar, bell, horns and other branding.
Kissel Entertainment, which designed the bucket, said those purchasing it "will be treated to unlimited refills for a lifetime" at any Kissel concession. Not only can the containers hold popcorn, but they can also make for an accessory and also act as a purse once washed out. The collectible also pays tribute to the 4-H, which Kissel Entertainment said it has supported for decades.
"Kissel Entertainment is always innovating and elevating the fairgoers' experience," said R.A. Kissel, Kissel Entertainment CEO. "We want theme park quality products for all of our attendees. We know the importance of fairs for communities, and we want our fairgoers to have a product that instantly transports them back to the memory of their experience."
More information about the reusable popcorn bucket and other offerings at the fair can be found on Kissel Entertainment's website.
This year's fair kicks off Thursday, Aug. 15 and runs through Sunday, Aug. 25. More than 70 acts are set to perform, with the Oak Ridge Boys, 38 Special and Lauren Alaina among those headlining the nightly concerts, which are free with fair admission.
