LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Metro Police Department officers arrested detective Kyle Carroll while off-duty early Sunday morning, July 14.
LMPD said officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of Frankfort Avenue and found an off-duty detective had struck a parked car. They detected an odor of alcohol on his breath and found he was under the influence after conducting field sobriety tests.
Carroll was transported to the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections booked on a charge of Operating a Motor Vehicle under the influence. There were no injuries.
LMPD said it will place Carroll on administrative leave as it investigates further.
“LMPD takes this situation very seriously and we are grateful no one was injured,” the department said in a release.
