LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kentucky Kingdom is now open for the 2024 season. Gates opened for guests on Saturday.

This year is going to be different from previous years. The theme park will be open for all four seasons, making this the longest season yet.

There will be events including “Petal Palooza” starting on Memorial Day weekend, a “Red, White, and Bluegrass Bash” over 4th of July weekend, and a new winter event “Christmas at Kentucky Kingdom”.

“We’re very excited to add in some new events this year to create different experiences for the guests every time they come back throughout the season,” said Carly Uglow with Kentucky Kingdom.

The amusement park side is currently only open during the weekends. Hurricane Bay opens on Memorial Day weekend, which will kick off the park’s daily operations for the summer.
