LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Lexington Police Department has arrested three people for trafficking narcotics after a joint investigation by the police's Drug Enforcement Unit, Winchester Police Department, Gateway Area Task Force and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

  • Fred Hardin, 41, Gene Primus, 31, and Danielle Taylor, 39, are being held at the Fayette County Detention Center

According to Lexington police, 27 pounds of methamphetamine, 1.5 pounds of fentanyl, $15,809 in cash and one handgun were located and seized during the investigation.

The following individuals were charged and arrested March 12 and are being held at the Fayette County Detention Center, Lexington police said:

  • Fred Hardin, 41 — trafficking controlled substance in first degree, methamphetamine; two counts of trafficking controlled substance in first degree, fentanyl aggravated
  • Gene Primus, 31 — trafficking controlled substance in first degree, methamphetamine and fentanyl
  • Danielle Taylor, 39 — trafficking controlled substance in first degree, methamphetamine and fentanyl
