LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Goodwill Industries of Kentucky has named Emery Scott Lee as the new director for the West Louisville Opportunity Center, which is scheduled to open on March 20. Lee previously served as the executive director of the Salvation Army’s Center of Hope in Louisville.

In a news release, Goodwill shared Lee brings 30 years of professional experience in human service, with emphases in youth, seniors and disadvantaged families in Louisville. His career has included work with the Louisville Urban League’s Career Development Center, Jefferson Community and Technical College, the Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana, the Salvation Army and more.

Lee is the founder and senior pastor of No More Limits Christian Church in Louisville.

As the director of the West Louisville Opportunity Center, Lee will be in charge of oversight of the center, which includes Goodwill’s headquarter operations and career services.

Lee has served on several local boards and community organizations, including the Louisville Metro Dollars for Scholars, House of Ruth, Descenands of American Slaves Ministerial Alliance, and many more. He is a native of west Louisville, a graduate of Jeffersontown High School and Eastern Kentucky University, and a U.S. Air Force veteran.

The Opportunity Center is a 125,000 square-foot facility in the Parkland neighborhood that will offer job training, educational opportunities, expungement services and more to the community. Goodwill says it will generate $18.7 million in economic impact annually in the area.
