GOSHEN, Ky. — An Oldham County firefighter has died after experiencing a medical emergency while responding to a fire in Goshen.

According to the Jefferson County Coroner, Thomas Petschke passed away last night at the hospital. He was a member of the Ballardsville Fire Department.  

His cause of death is pending a medical exam. Funeral services for Petschke have not been announced.
