They will be able to enjoy re-creations of Route 66, the Grand Canyon, ancient pyramids and Merry Olde England.

“We are thrilled to host this truly spectacular event again this year along the walking path in historic Iroquois Park,” said Brooke Pardue, president/CEO of the Parks Alliance of Louisville. “The proceeds from the event directly support the Alliance, so we like folks to know that a portion of every ticket sold is invested right back into our public parks.”

The spectacular runs from Tuesday, Oct. 3 through Tuesday, Oct. 31, and will be open from dusk to 10 p.m, Sunday through Thursday, and until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

To reduce crowds and traffic, there will be timed ticketing for every night of the show. Friday and Saturday prices are $20 for adults, $17 for adults 65 years and older and $15 for children ages 3-12. The Sunday through Thursday 9:30 p.m. time slot will be offered at $2 off the regular price. Children 2 and under are free.

The Jack O’Lantern Spectacular has become an annual tradition for Louisvillians and visitors alike. It features hundreds of pumpkins carved in the likeness of famous people and places from popular culture which are brightly lit up against the ghoulish backdrop of Iroquois Park at night.

The event is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Parks Alliance of Louisville, whose mission is to “drive equitable investment” in the city’s parks and elevate the well-being of the entire community. The group was established in 2006.
