LEXINGTON, Ky. — Blue Grass Airport in Lexington announced a new direct flight to Miami with American Airlines. The seasonal route begins Nov. 11, 2023 and will be offered every Saturday through March 30, 2024.

“We hope central Kentucky travelers will enjoy this winter getaway opportunity,” said Eric Frankl, president & CEO of Blue Grass Airport. “This service will provide exceptional access to not only the Miami area, but it also offers easy connecting opportunities to the warmth of the Caribbean, Mexico and Latin America.”

Service will be provided on a 76-seat aircraft and will include a first-class cabin. Departing flights will leave at 6:30 a.m and arrive by 9 a.m. while returning flights depart Miami at 9 p.m. and return to Lexington by 11:40 p.m.

In addition to the new seasonal offering, American Airlines offers direct flights to Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas/Ft. Worth and Philadelphia.
